Welcome, and thanks for choosing me to help with your legal name and gender marker change needs! I have over 8 years of experience helping hundreds of transgender, non-binary, gender expansive, Two-Spirit, and cisgender people with this process, and I'm thrilled to help you with it, too. At this time, I only work with clients who reside in counties in Upstate New York (outside of NYC and Long Island). Let me know if you need referrals for attorneys in NYC or LI. For all name changes, I currently charge one flat fee of $1,250, which covers my time (average of 3 hours at $350/hour), the $210 filing fee with the county clerk, and credit card processing fees. You can pay the entire cost upfront or in a payment plan of $312.50/month for 4 months, whichever is convenient. We'll start with a brief 30 minute Zoom consultation so I can explain the process to you, get all the details I need, and figure out what other information we need to gather in order to move forward. Then, I'll draft your petition and send it to you to sign in front a local notary and return to me. Once I get it back, I will prepare and file all the documents with the court in your county. Together, we'll get you the golden ticket of a court order to move forward with your life with your authentic name (and gender, if desired). At the end of the process, I'll send you all the forms and information you need to update all of your identity documents and records.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel or postpone, please let us know with as much advance notice as possible. We may decline to accept your case if you cancel or postpone more than once.
