About the Event
Join us to learn about Quality of Life Planning -- using legal
documents to take control over what happens to your health, your body, and
your assets when you no longer have the capacity to make those decisions. In
this workshop, Milo Primeaux, Esq., a queer trans civil rights attorney, will
explain how preparing various documents now ensures that decision-making
power does not end up in the hands of the State or some family member who
doesn't really know what you care about or how you want to be treated.
Ready to put some of your Quality of Life documents in order?
RSVP for a free, brief one-on-one session with Milo to talk over your options
and get your papers started. Please contact Devon at Devon.Ritz@PPSFL.org or 607-216-0021 ext. 2308.
Light refreshments provided.
Content Warning: During this workshop, we will frankly discuss matters involving
illness and injuries, physical and mental incapacity, medical treatment, life-saving
treatment, pain management and palliative care, decisions around end-of-life care,
death and dying, funeral pre-planning, and even obituary drafting. Participants are
encouraged to exercise self-care before, throughout, and after the workshop, given the
heavy nature of the topic.
